Jammu and Kashmir Rain: Due to rain in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, the day temperature dropped. The Meteorological Department gave this information. According to the department, there is a possibility of rain again in the beginning of next week. Sonam Lotus, director of the Meteorological Department, told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that the western disturbance will affect the weather of Jammu and Kashmir from April 3 to April 6, due to which intermittent light to moderate rains will occur at many places in the state.
It has been raining since morning in many areas of the union territory including Srinagar and Jammu, he added. According to him, similar weather would prevail till evening due to which the temperature would drop by five to six degrees. According to the department, there will be some respite from rain on Sunday and the weather will improve. ‘But, there is a possibility of rain at some places in the evening.’
The director said that there could be snowfall in the higher reaches. However, there is no forecast of heavy rain or snowfall, he added. He told that the weather will remain like this till April 6. After which it will improve and the temperature will also increase.
