On the sixth day of “Bharat Jodo Yatra” in Madhya Pradesh, a caravan of hundreds of pedestrians led by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi moved from Indore towards Ujjain after sunrise on Monday. The yatra started from Bada Ganpati square of Indore. On the way, a cyclist also joined the yatra and the former Congress President was seen pedaling his bicycle, pausing the walk for a few moments.

On the sixth day of “Bharat Jodo Yatra” in Madhya Pradesh, a caravan of hundreds of pedestrians led by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi moved from Indore towards Ujjain after sunrise on Monday. The yatra started from Bada Ganpati square of Indore. On the way, a cyclist also joined the yatra and the former Congress president was seen hitting the pedals of his cycle, pausing the walk for a few moments. Sutlej Rahat, son of Indore’s famous poet Rahat Indori, also participated in the yatra. Sutlej said he presented two books on his late father to Gandhi during the padayatra, including Rahat Indori’s autobiography.

According to the program announced by the Congress, the Yatra will cover a distance of 380 kilometers in the Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh within 12 days before entering Rajasthan on December 4. A large population of tribals live in this agricultural region. The march led by Gandhi entered Madhya Pradesh on November 23 from Bodarli village in Burhanpur district, known as the “Gateway to the South”, after passing through Maharashtra. In the last six days, this yatra has completed more than half of its journey in Madhya Pradesh. During this, the caravan of marchers led by Gandhi passed through Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone and Indore districts.
