Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed officials to take steps to make the APCMMS (AP Consistent Monitoring of Municipal Services) app being developed by the Urban Development Department accessible to people in all villages. Also said that the feedback system cell should be strengthened in app-based complaints.
During the review meeting of Municipal Administration and Urban Development here on Friday, the Chief Minister suggested that new emerging technologies should be adopted in the construction of roads so that they can last for a long time with good quality in all weather conditions. Other infrastructure like drainage system and internal roads should also be maintained properly.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the app will also be made available to all the villages. The app will help the authorities to make municipal services sustainable in the long run. The app will help the official machinery to do real-time monitoring of the maintenance of infrastructure facilities like public toilets, underground drainage system, dredging, repair of roads, street lights, greening, traffic junctions and beautification in towns and cities. Secretaries in 4,119 ward secretariats will be asked to monitor the maintenance of all services from 10 am to 12 noon daily and repair roads brought to the notice of concerned officials through the app.
