Share Market Opening Bell: The Indian stock market started with a decline today. In early trade, the Sensex was down 154 points at 60824 and the Nifty was down 51 points at 18067. Tata Motors, Maruti, Tata Steel, Hindalco and Bajaj Auto were among Nifty top gainers while Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, HCL Tech, L&T and SBI Life were among top losers.
Let us tell you that today the 30-stock major sensitive index Sensex of BSE opened at the level of 60834 with a weakness of just 144 points. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange started today’s trading from the level of 18093.
The Dow Jones registered a rise in the US market on Tuesday as well. Dow Jones closed at 33733 level with a gain of 104 points i.e. 0.31 percent. At the same time, Nasdaq lost 0.27 percent and closed at 11334 level. Whereas, the S&P 500 also closed in the red.
On the other hand, Sensex remained marginally profitable by 37 points on Tuesday in volatile business. Buying profit in auto stocks continued to see selling pressure in bank and energy stocks and market gains were limited. The Sensex closed at 60,978.75 with a slight gain of 37.08 points. The Sensex opened with gains initially and at one stage climbed up to 300 points. However, it later declined due to selling pressure and traded at 60,849.12, down over 400 points from the day’s high. The Nifty also closed steady at 18,118.30.
