Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) teacher recruitment exam calendar has been released. The exam will be conducted in August. The exam will be held on 19, 20, 26 and 27 August. The result can come in November. The tentative date has been announced before the release of the advertisement. There will be separate exams for primary, secondary and higher secondary. Language test will be common.
Out of 79 thousand seats earmarked for primary school, 50% seats will be reserved for women. In secondary and senior secondary, 35% of the prescribed seats will be reserved for women. This is already running in all appointments. The determination of merit will also be done according to the reservation rules. In this, it will be necessary to obtain minimum qualifying marks of 40% for general category, 36.5% for backward class, 34% for most backward class and 32% for SC/ST, women and disabled candidates.
There will be no age limit
The age limit of teachers employed for appointment to the post of school teachers through BPSC has been relaxed. Now there will be no compulsion of their age limit for the examination. Not only this, trained candidates who clear STET in 2019 will be given age relaxation of 10 years for the first attempt. The Education Department has issued its notification on Thursday.
There will be concrete arrangements for the examination
The chairman of the commission told that only one examination has to be held for the appointment, so concrete arrangements have been made. This time the candidates will be called at the examination center two to three hours before. Biometrics attendance will be recorded. Everyone will be matched in the exam hall. There will be a center for girls and disabled candidates in the district headquarters. Jammers will be installed at the centres. The question paper will open in front of the candidates, which will be videographed. Misconduct will be banned for five years.
