Bharat Jodo Yatra: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Baghel steps in, Priyanka returns to Delhi with family

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi, while Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh affairs of the Congress, left the yatra and returned to Delhi. Priyanka, who has been involved in the yatra for the last three days, started walking on Saturday morning with husband Robert Vadra and son Rehaan.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday attended the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi, while Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra returned to Delhi after bidding farewell to the yatra. Priyanka, who has been involved in the yatra for the last three days, started walking on Saturday morning with husband Robert Vadra and son Rehaan. However, after walking some distance, she returned to Delhi along with her family after taking leave from the trip during tea break. A Congress leader gave this information.

Hundreds of people started walking from Mortakka in Khandwa district under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi on the fourth day of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh. After lunch and rest at Manihar, the yatra started from Umeria Chowki from where Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Baghel was joined by his cabinet colleague TS Singhdeo.

Due to the hilly and wooded road ahead of Balwada, Gandhi and others involved in the yatra left for Mhow, the birth place of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The Gandhi-led yatra entered BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh on November 23 from Burhanpur district. According to the program declared by the Congress, this yatra will cover a distance of 380 kilometers in the Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh within 12 days, before entering Rajasthan on December 4. A large population of tribals live in this agricultural region.
